This newsletter summarizes the brief history of the Delano Kindred and introduces Philippe de La Noye, presenting as well a brief history of the Delano name. Also announced is the adoption of the GHAAHD (The Genealogy, History, and Alliances of the American House of Delano, 1621-1899) as the major genealogical source for the Delano Kindred. Although known to contain some errors and undocumented assertions regarding the early history of the Delano name, the GHAAHD is nevertheless a very valuable and generally accurate reference for later generations of the Delano family.
