One should remember that there is no known genealogically documented connection of our branch to the de Lannoys and the so-called ?Franchimont-de Lannoy pedigree?. Analysis shows that the ?connection? through Jean de Lannoy, seigneur of Molembais etc. provided in the ?proof? by Mortimer Delano on page 48 in Book One of the GHAAHD is based on inaccurate suppositions and on fragmentary non-genealogical information.
